It’s certainly no coincidence that so many of our New England estate sales offer designer goods with all the great shopping in New York, Boston, Connecticut, and surrounding areas. All the most prestigious luxury brands in the world are represented such as Chanel, Dior, Bally, Fendi, Donna Karen, Escada, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Roberto Cavalli, Ralph Lauren, as well as Black Star and Frost, Fred, and Cartier, not to mention Nordstroms and Bloomingdales. It’s common that these name brands almost always appear at our estate sales.
When high end brand names appear in our estate sales, high quality is usually represented throughout the entire property. From kitchen to bedrooms, and living rooms to the garage! Hermes blankets, Louis Vuitton handbags, Fendi furs, Calvin Klein dishware, Ralph Lauren, Kreiss furnishings, and classic cars, and we haven’t even gotten to the his & hers closets yet.
One particular estate sale offered a collection of rare Hermes blankets that brought three times the current retail price. $3500.00 was received for one of the blankets and both buyer and seller were extremely happy with the transaction.
Another estate sale yielded over $200.00 per yard for a collection of suede Pucci fabric, and over $300.00 per yard for Hermes fabric.
When we got to the closets of the home not surprising, the ladies closet was full of Escada, Chanel, Tierry Mugler, Armani, and Chanel, and the men’s wardrobe was full of Gucci and Tom Ford. Handbags were Chanel, Judith Leiber, Nancy Gonzalez and more.
Then we got to the “accessory closet”, and we were presented with $75,000.00 worth of belts. Just going through the designer accessories took over three days.
Needless to say we saved the homeowners weeks and maybe months of time organizing and preparing their items for sale. We took care of everything with our usual “White glove manner” and it was our pleasure to have assisted them.
